The saxophonist, clarinettist and composer Gabriel Amargant presents his new project. After the success of First Station (Fresh Sound, 2009) and And Now for Something Completely Different (Fresh Sound, 2015), Amargant presents Aire (Fresh Sound, 2018), a selection of new, original compositions drawing on various musical influences. It is inspired by experiences, readings and travel, and is explained in the form of a conversation established between members of the line-up – a trio completed by two of the most versatile, prolific musicians on the current scene, Marko Lohikari on double bass and Ramon Prats on drums.
