A Basque, a Frenchman and an American make up this funk and groove trio which will shake the foundations of the Jamboree. Mikel Azpiroz, a versatile keyboard player known for his work alongside Fermin Muguruza and Parafünk, got together in 2005 with the drummer Frank Mantegari, previously of Saint Germain and Alpha Blondy, and the singer and guitarist Dave Wilkinson, with the healthy intention of forming a band. Today they present their fifth album, Bor, the most energetic and explosive of their career. On it, the Hammond organ, the guitarist and the drums blend beautifully and, although the base is jazz and blues, they transcend frontiers with a powerful, hypnotic mixture of rhythm and melody, navigating through all kinds of African and gipsy sounds from north to south and east to west.
